What do you do when you aren’t feeling well? Will you roll back the clock in your mind and think, what did I eat? How did I sleep? Was it the draft in my office or that child coughing in line at the grocery store? If I do something now, can I prevent this feeling from developing into illness?
This is what Ayurveda teaches.
It’s about taking responsibility of your own health, as we have to earn it.
We can inherit name, fame, money, position, power but not Health. And this sense of wellbeing means different things for each one of us.
Ayurveda literally means “science of life”, so it’s not necessarily only about health and wellness. However, health and wellness being part of life as a top priority, discussed in great detail in this ancient science of wellness. The whole science is developed on the idea of prevention and off course there are remedies when things happen anyways.
Unfortunately, Ayurveda is perceived as “churna and bitter kadha”, “messy and oily body work”, “strict diet change and slow results” etc. All these things are partially true; meaning they are partially not true.
What is the truth then?
This complex human system of ours has not changed in thousands of years and neither has Ayurveda. We have had this body since man was living in caves. And yes, we have same old Earth, Sun and Moon.
Ayurvedic principles are derived from this interaction of man with his nature. This is the truth.
This human system is magnificent piece equipment that we have received and it knows how to heal itself. This healing ability is pre programmed in this body.
When we are ready to take the responsibility, Ayurveda can show us how to release that natural innate healing potential.
Are you ready?
